I am a self-taught abstract painter. I specialize in abstract art because it allows more artistic freedom and creativity. The process of painting nourishes me. I have been influenced by a variety of classical, modern, and contemporary masters. Indeed, my style has evolved from formal realism, using pastels and oil paints,to depict people and still lifes, to a more abstract style, incorporating surreal imagery, fragmented geometric forms, and a vivid array of colors. Furthermore, by using mixed media, I have been able to enhance the visual and textural aspects of my paintings more effectively.
